What are we doing with the PPM?
We'll use the PPM to create a short summary of the offering. Your offering will be searchable using 160+ search perimeters on the BW ALTSeek platform.
This will assist our users in finding specific investment opportunities for their clients, as well as finding reasonably available alternatives for Reg BI and Fiduciary Standards.
How much does it cost?
Absolutely nothing! Inclusion in the platform is free.
Does it have to be 506(c) or can I upload 506(b) offerings? What Asset Classes are you able to accept?
We can do 506(b), 506(c), Reg A, public and private offerings. The BW ALTSeek platform is accessible only to broker dealers, registered investment advisors, registered representatives, financial advisors, and other approved users. It is not available to the public, nor to other issuers/sponsors.
We accept any and all asset types and structures - real estate, oil and gas, energy, etc DST/TIC, REIT, LLC, LP, etc. If you are targeting RIAs and/or Broker Dealers with your offering, we'll get it on the site!
Will you share the PPM with the users?
No! Your PPM will be used exclusively by the BW analysts creating the summary and search perimeters. It will not be shared, distributed, or made available to anyone outside of BW, without the express permission of the sponsor.
Would Buttonwood sign an NDA prior to us sharing our PPM?
Of course! Please reach out to Alyna at Alyna@ButtonwoodLLC.net with your NDA and we'll gladly get that signed and sent back. We value the intellectual property of our sponsors and are happy to ensure your comfort with our process.
Can I see the summary review once it's complete?
We're happy to share the summary review with the sponsor. Please note, this is not for approval purposes. We will, however, correct any information if for some reason we get something incorrect. We are very collaborative with our sponsors, so will make every effort to ensure we're providing fair and accurate information to our BD/RIA users. Who is Buttonwood and why are you doing this for free?
Buttonwood Due Diligence is a third-party due diligence firm that was founded in 2004. We have been providing high quality, in-depth due diligence services on alternative investments for the last 21 years. When Buttonwood was purchased in 2020 by two of it's longstanding employees, we began a steady push towards innovation, improvement, and expansion of our core products and services. Mainly - to provide due diligence support far beyond a simple report.
From our unique conferences, to our RIA Centurion, to our BW APEX platform that provides summary reviews, full DD reviews, on-going due diligence reviews on private offerings, testing, education, data rooms, and marketing materials, we're in a constant state of "What could we do better? What more can we do to provide value to our sponsor/manager and BD/RIA clients?"
BW ALTSeek is an expansion of that core philosophy to do and be better! We're offering this for free as we're building out an expansive library of alternative investments - completely agnostic of who or if a third party review has been completed.
