The Prospectus states the Fund seeks attractive risk-adjusted returns and current income by investing across a wide array of global credit sectors: bank loans and loan participations, non-agency mortgage-backed securities, corporate bonds, asset-backed securities, CLOs, sovereign debt and originated whole loans. It may invest without limit in below investment grade, stressed, distressed and defaulted debt at any level of the capital structure, and must concentrate at least 25% in mortgage-related assets. PIMCO allocates top-down and selects bottom-up. Leverage is used principally through reverse repurchase agreements; derivatives are used for hedging and exposure.
